Entity–component–system (ECS) is a popular architectural pattern often in game development. One of the famous implementations of ECS is Overwatch by Blizzard. In this talk, we will introduce the basic concept of ECS and several advantages using it. A demo project of ECS framework based on Unity3D will also be shown.
